Together with various collaborators at Michigan State, I spearheaded the beginnings of what I hope will grow to become a robust online resource for making university second and foreign language teaching more accessible. This resource is proudly housed on the Center for Language Teaching Advancement website, and takes its first step as a quick-read overview of accessibility considerations, some germane to all learning, many specific to second and foreign language teaching. Much of it includes examples (e.g., tools, platforms) specific to MSU, but we purposefully designed the advice to be useful to teaching contexts beyond our campus. Language instructors (or students) – get in touch with me if you have considerations to add to this list!
