Building community is vital at the nexus of disability inclusion and second language research and practice. Here are the ways I’m building bridges and connecting the people who do and live this important work.
Community of Practice – Scholars with/of Disability
I have brought together (a) disabled scholars and educators and (b) scholars and educators whose work centers on disability and language education/applied linguistics to join in collaborative, coalitional discussions at the intersection of disability inclusion and second language research. We meet monthly to share projects, insights, and lived experience.
